This is another gem of a pinot noir – from a vineyard made famous by Martin Ray – grown up at over 1,200 feet on fractured limestone soils just a miniscule 3 miles from the Pacific. Such a wicked cool wine – with metric tons goings on. It’s juicy with ripe cherries, raspberries, and strawberries, it’s structured with elegant tannins and a rigid backbone of river rock minerality, and it’s zippy – with this salty and citrine acidity that pushes things to a glorious finish that lingers…WOWZA! This is pure pleasure, pinot lovers – and one that will easily compete with pinots three times the price!!!
