Vignerons Pinot Noir Santa Barbara County 2020

UNDER $15! This utterly stunning baby brother to the Central Coast’s newest $200+ a bottle producer overdelivers in every imaginable way...we just wish we had more!

Don Sebastiani & Sons, Kenneth Volk Vineyards, Bien Nacido Vineyards, the cult-y favorite Scar of the Sea Wines, and now his eponymous BRUVGHELLI wines – Michael Brughelli has been a busy man! Somehow, before adding all those simply benchmark California bigwigs to his resume, he was also a respected firefighter and EMT (garnering “Firefighter of the Year” TWICE…), who transitioned from a cherished mechanical engineering path at Cal Poly into a double major in both wine & viticulture and agribusiness. His $200+ bottles of Central Coast Pinot and Chard are the buzz of the wine world, but I gotta say…I’m pretty DANG content with a case of this GLORIOUS Santa Barbara Pinot for just THIRTEEN DOLLARS!!!

This is PRETTY, y’all! The sensuous potpourri-infused bouquet, with a gentle dusting of baby powder, then sweet plums, and black raspberries, with this sort of blueberry pastille confectionary character, and cooling whispers of spearmint, and…and…AND!!! This is on the delicate side that is just soooo difficult to achieve in well-priced Pinot Noir – full of character and complexity without resorting to brooding heaviness of either fruit or spice. Almost Old-School Oregonian in character – with this elegant purity that really showcases some TOP Pinot Noir characteristics! We know next to NOTHING about this – as you might expect. If Manfred Krankl and Sine Qua Non were dabbling in an on-premise focused brand that would sell for HUNDREDS less than their bread-n-butter bottlings…you can be sure he’d keep that quiet as a church mouse. Welp, same same here…but we super-sleuthed the goods, and the benefits are yours to reap! No scores, no heaps of critical praise on this under-the-radar GEM – but trust me…this is one to LOAD UP on! Only $13!!

While it lasts!

** All orders will be combined and shipped from our West Coast warehouse, so give it a little time, East Coasters! **
