Not just ANY Sancerre – we’re calling this “Baby Vacheron”...creamy, dreamy, fresh, complex, and…AND!!!
Are you ready for this?! It’s UNDER $35!!! For SANCERRE, good people! Run it up the flagpole, sound the alarm, belt it to the heavens like a canary in a coal mine…just make sure you GET SOME!
And Last Bottle? The ONLY spot outside of France to get it! Boo-YEAH! “Un Rendez-vous en Sancerre” is a bottle you’ve likely never seen before – and I’d wager, will never see again after today! (Not counting when it shows up on your porch – obvi.) I reckon y’all have about 90 minutes to secure some from the second we open up the floodgates on this – even a slow Saturday ain’t stopping this from selling out! ORGANIC. Biodynamic. Aged for a full year on the lees, with a fully native yeast fermentation. I could be talking about the critical darling of Sancerre, Domaine Vacheron, couldn’t I? But then there’s the incredible UNDER $35 price – and *poof* – all hopes of Vacheron vanish, sadly. Sancerre’s top estate might be the aspirational model here – and I got to say…the kinship is definitely THERE! Is it every bit as good? No. (C’mon, it’s Vacheron.) But is it pretty damn good anyways for a FRACTION of the price? You better believe it!!!
Floral, with wisteria and honeysuckle aromas, followed by struck matches, and this weighty, unctuous tangerine oil quality. This is creamy and never-ending Sancerre, with a tantalizing expression of Meyer lemon tarts, and ripe, white grapefruits, with this lanolin and fresh-pressed wheatgrass character that pops and zips in a dozen different ways all at once. There’s no question this is a Sancerre made in that fuller and more layered “Vacheron” style – but thankfully nowhere near that Vacheron price!!! We’re the ONLY spot in the USA to have it – but not long for this world, friends!
