Whoah. I’m talking like Keanu Reeves in the Matrix whoah. Guys. Gals. PEOPLE! We’re blown away by how lightning fast y’all gobbled up every last case and six-pack of our Spring Mystery bonanza. So we were left scrambling, and find ourselves shooting from the hip, faking-it-’till-we’re-making-it, and rolling faster than Snoop Dogg’s personal spliff maker. We sent all of our buyers into different corners of the warehouse with a open call to find something excellent – and my oh my, did they ever deliver!
99 POINTS! The utterly EXCEPTIONAL 2016 vintage! A cranium melting $166 OFF the winery’s price – and a full $136 LESS than the next best price in the WORLD on this wine…THAT, is what’s at stake! It’s been called a wine that “flirts with perfection” and “best in the New World” and, well…doesn’t that alone make you want to try it?!?! We just popped a bottle, and WOWEE!!! These folks are the UPPER CRUST of top-tier Napa Estates – with no shortage of 100 pointers in their resume. But to score a rare LIBRARY vintage like this – from a stellar vintage, no less – and offer up this PRISTINELY aged, absolutely entrancing bottling for OVER 60% LESS than the winery price?!?! We snuck one bottle of these in our superbly delectable Mystery Collector’s 6-pack that just sold out in a flash…good thing we had another few cases of this stashed away for a rainy day! Oh, man…do what you must.
If you simply NEED to guess – here’s a few hints (and those of you who grabbed our 2014 Mystery Cab on April Fool’s have a HUGE advantage) – but do hurry, friends – there’s simply no telling how long this might last!
- A visit to Bordeaux in the late 90s inspired this European immigrant to start his own estate, a partnership he undertook with his son.
- The entire valley floor estate was replanted in the early 2000s, with a winery following soon after.
- This 2016 vintage was the first made by a then rising-star winemaker (and now a frequent participant in the 100 Point Club), who was suggested by the one and only Heidi Barrett.
Most people who know this wine and winery continue to pronounce it incorrectly.
