I can’t imagine what this tasted like in early 2019 when it was released – ‘cause even at nearly 8 years young – this ain’t no wimpy, thin, meager, and soft Côtes du Rhône red!!! 60% Syrah, 40% Grenache…with the spicy, roasted meats, and inky, deep berry liqueur quality of the Syrah, coupled with that bright and fresh suppleness of strawberry jam, and roasted Herbs de Provence of top-notch Grenache. There’s this black pepper and fire-roasted nuttiness, too, with a kiss of wild mushrooms and charred earth lingering on the finish...that seems to go on forever! Just HAUNTINGLY good, y’all – especially at this simply LUDICROUS price! This is going to be a close companion all summer long – devoured early and often at backyard BBQs and Bocce nights with the sort of reckless and feckless abandon that comes with a low, low price like this!!!
