When Lester and Linda Schwartz were warned against planting in such a cool, ocean-influenced site back in the late 80s, they persisted. People laughed, people doubted, and now…people are paying attention! This blend of Hyde and Old Wente clones from their magical estate just a couple miles off PCH is a wonder of California balance and seamless perfection. 30% new French oak gives it ample spice and toasty edges, while the slow-ripening fruit showcases everything from lemon curd, to golden orchard apples, with flecks of toasted almonds, brûléed pineapple, and delicate Jasmine tea.
