Firefly Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2014

Man, y'all are THIRSTY!  We're on our second sell-out already...who's ready to make it three?!?!

94 POINTS! The INCREDIBLE 2014 Napa vintage – the magical fairies of summer are dancing in the twilight – ‘cause FIREFLY is back!

Did you know? Scientists now believe that we might be the very last generation to experience the magic of fireflies – nature’s glowsticks and the herald of summer is dying out. So, if you are fortunate enough to live near some, cherish the moment and pop a bottle of this PRISTINELY aged Napa Cab to enjoy the show!

Ok, wipe those tears – ‘cause we’ve got LIBRARY COOMBSVILLE Cabernet Sauvignon to celebrate! UNDER $25! My personal favorite 2014 Napa vintage, too – a gloriously balanced, elegant, and supple wine from a flat-out STELLAR growing season that Wine Spectator calls “a dream vintage”. Famed winemaker Andy Erickson takes it all a step further, saying “the vintage is somewhere between 2012 and 2013…darker and a bit more concentrated than 2012s, but perhaps with some earlier appeal than the tightly packed wines of 2013.”

And THAT, my faithful Cabernet Compatriots, describes this sultry and sexy beauty to a “T”!!!

The aromas kick like an ornery thoroughbred – with waves of violets and lavender, then this heady incense note that whisks me back to the spice markets of Tangiers, with saffron, and cassis, and flecks of cardamom, and even a whisper of light and fruity tobacco smoke (think hookah bar, not stogies)! It’s structured with graphite and pencil shavings, and very much alive with a supple softness that brings out this cherry compote and fresh blueberry note…just, AAAAAHHHHH!!! This was handed out an updated 94 POINTS recently – and oh-me, oh-my does this ever ROCK at our simply unbeatable price!

This is sure to fly – and trust your digital wine scribe – you don’t want to miss this! Forget about the label, or the lack of bullet-point marketing prestige – this is 112% about what is INSIDE the bottle. Pour a glass and tell me it won’t stand up to countless $100+ Napa Big Dogs that’ll charge you an arm and a leg for a single vineyard Coombsville Cab…you simply can’t! Old school, classic Napa style that showcases a family-run micro-production done RIGHT! Toss in the exceptional, and cool, volcanically-grown grapes from the base of Coombsville’s Mt. George – and…well…what the heck are you even doing still reading this?! Fill your cart, already, good people!!!
