EDEN RIFT is BACK, good people! We featured this early on in 2025, and you ravenous Pinot Purists absolutely gorged yourselves on one of California’s newest/oldest PHENOMS from the Central Coast. This new project hails from California’s oldest continually farmed vineyard – founded in the La Cienaga valley all the way back in 1849!!! Can you say, GOLD RUSH?! ‘Cause that’s what’s on the table today – a rich, lush, and downright SEXY coastal pinot headed up by a winemaker at the very PEAK of his powers. Way, WAY less than last time sadly – so if you know, you GO…fill up that cart while we’ve got it!
As promised, this utterly crushed with the family’s Easter lamb roast – but at just over $20 a bottle – I really should have brought three bottles or more to the festivities! $68 at the winery is a simply UNREAL price for single-vineyard juice like this – but we’re dropping that price faster than Shedeur Sanders’ NFL draft stock!
The sweetly alluring roses, and this hyper-fresh zip of pomegranate tea, with inky, crushed raspberries, and bright strawberry coulis, with an array of warming spice notes of cinnamon, sage, and freshly-cracked black pepper. It’s boisterous, and complex, and just perfectly balanced – with a subtle cranberry tartness that turns into sweet red whips and cooling menthol on the finish. Big, but never massive, and the UNDER $25 price is more surreal than Salvador Dali on absinthe!
