SO! Direct from the Chateau, and ready to CRUSH – especially at our LB standards-exploding price – with this straight-up thrilling juice of vinous ambrosia par excellence. Dating back to the early 1800s, and surrounded by all the big gun Pessac-Leognan names that make hearts and investment accounts flutter (Chateau Haut-Brion, La Mission, many many more…), this domaine was, for many years, a monastery and a vineyard, until it was acquired in 1993 by the famous Domaine de Chevalier estate.
This warm vintage is loaded, popping, bubbling with smoke, espresso-laden blue fruits, black currant essence, and that telltale sweet tobacco leaf Bordeaux note, plus a touch of mocha and sweet chai spices, all well integrated and harmonious, silky and fine. Drink it now at 8 years young for sure, but hide some away, and your future self will thank you!! Not going to say much else, we don’t have a lot…get a few more than you think, though….! Bordeaux BOMB this perfect Sunday…woo hoo!
