Dancing Wind Cellars Pinot Noir Estate Kendrick Vineyard Petaluma Gap Marin County 2023

Sell out number 2!  Let's keep it going......

94 points! And an absolutely heart-thumping 66+% off! New Pinot find for a price that cannot be ignored!

Dancing in the wind is just the right call to describe how I’m feeling after a single, memorable glass of this utterly delectable Petaluma Gap Pinot Noir. Now, most of the Petaluma Gap falls in Sonoma territory, but this gorgeous 8.5-acre parcel is in the extreme west of the AVA, west even of Hwy 101, in Marin County. The mighty wind of the Pacific keeps things gorgeous and cool here, and this is one of the prettiest and most alluring Pinots you’ll ever taste out of Marin! Hints of pomegranate, rooibos tea, and hibiscus pull you in, followed by this wave of fruity and juicy flavors, with red cherries galore, and strawberries, raspberries, and lingering notes of Earl Grey tea. A little splash of tart cranberry on the finish keeps you running back for more, and the spice profile of cinnamon red hots and white pepper hangs around to keep your tongue company between popping bottle after bottle. Decanter called it “the kind of Pinot Noir you’d want to drink daily” – and that was at the $75 price! At a full 66+% LESS…we might just have to bump things up to three bottles a day! Breakfast Pinot? Why not?!?!.

Stewart Johnson is the man steering the course of this Dancing Wind deliciousness – and if you don’t already know him…YOU WILL! He’s been called out as perhaps “the finest winemaker and grape grower in Marin County,” and he’s about as cerebral and painstakingly meticulous of a grower and winemaker that you are ever likely to meet! Every detail of his vineyard, every variable in his winery, the weather, the soils, the various clones, the whole cluster percentage…just everything is measured, considered, and documented – and there is no denying these results! 94 POINTS! Way, WAY under $30. This new project is one to watch – and more importantly – one to grab with reckless and feckless abandon!

While it lasts!
