This is rich, gutsy, beautifully made Languedoc that is priced to drink every night, and that’s just what you’re gonna wanna do here! Jeb Dunnuck really nails it in his review (see below) – it’s ripe, full-bodied, creamy, and bursting with dark berry fruits and spice. Perfectly delicious. Handed down from generation to generation for over 100 years, and today, Château La Vernède belongs to the Ribet family. So what’s it like? Mostly syrah/grenache, there are two words you always hear together - “serious” and “seamless” (remember, this can be yours for $14, not $28…). And it’s all THAT, with deep, dark, sultry, exotic flowers and red/blue berry fruits, smoky mocha, anise, just downright….THRILLING. The everyday red of the summer? Just maybe…but only if you hurry and go NOW!!!
