After some globe-hopping in Chile, South Africa, Bordeaux, Veneto, and more...he settled in the Napa Valley, cutting some razor-sharp teeth working under the legendary Russell Bevan (with too many 95-100-point scores to count), and Jason Moore of Modus Operandi (who nabbed some pretty awesome 97+ and 98 point scores himself recently). But never mind them…let’s focus on THIS!
Holy moly, what planet did THIS sexy beast come from? For UNDER $20?!?! There we were, sipping quietly, when all of a sudden it was like that ninja fight in Kill Bill – with all the baddies crashing into the warehouse and attacking our palates from all sides – this thing is da bomb! A whirling dervish stacked with deep, sweet, juicy, ripe, black/red/blue fruits of the Rhonish nature, some silky, chocolatey horchata spice, and bright, polished, and penetrating crumbled stone accents giving spine and substance to all. It’s full, yet not heavy, with baby-smooth edges that make this extra sultry on the finish. All that is to say – it’s yummy, and you should totally drop everything for the next sixty seconds until you get some. I mean — did you see our price?? You did, right?
