Here’s the thing – it’s not just any ol’ vineyard either! This is Congress Springs Vineyard – a Saratoga site that was planted in the early 1900s, and one of the pioneering vineyards of the entire Santa Cruz Mountains. It sits perfectly above the town of Saratoga, on the high ridge called the “Chaine d’Or” (after Burgundy’s iconic Côte d'Or), and sandwiched between Mount Eden’s and Domaine Eden’s two revered vineyard plots. And speaking of Mount Eden – their legendary wine guru, Jeffrey Patterson trained Angles Pinot Noir winemaker – Jim Cargill – for years! How’s that for a BOO-YEAH moment?
